Mrs. Truby has Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education from Slippery Rock University.

Mrs. Truby has been teaching for 27 years, 25 of which have been in Hempfield Elementary.  She started her career as an Early Intervention teacher in Farrell Area School District and then was supervisor of the program.   At Hempfield Elementary, she has taught Title 1 Reading and Math, second grade and is currently a third grade teacher.

When not at school, Mrs. Truby likes to spend time with her family.  She and her husband, Chris, have been married for 26 years and are raising their two sons, Sawyer and Nash, in Greenville.  Sawyer has graduated from Rafaels Barber academy and is barbering at Front Porch Barbershop here in Greenville. Nash is a sophmore at Slippery Rock University majoring in computer science.  Mrs. Truby loves to read and cook for her family.  She also likes to go on long walks with her dog, Jack!
