• Introduce digraphs -- ck, sh, ch, wh, th
• Tap to read and spell simple cvc words

Math:

• Oral counting to 75
• Introduce teen numbers
• Represent teen numbers using number bonds, models, ten frames. 

Phonemic Awareness Skills:

• Listen for rhymes in songs and stories
• Listen for and identify beginning/middle/end sounds in words
• blend and segment sounds in simple cvc words
• Identify and produce rhyming words
• Clap syllables in words

Social Skills:

• Raise hand and wait to be called on
• Establish daily routines
• Discuss ways to positively solve problems when they arise:  use your words to try to solve the problem, walk away, ask for help
• Practice appropriate voice levels for different areas of the school
• Model and reinforce walking quietly in the hallway and using manners in the cafeteria
• Discuss our Hopes and Dreams for Kindergarten and relate to our classroom rules
• Build a sense of community through Morning Meeting greetings and activities
