Bio

Hello everyone, my name is Ron Myers and I have been teaching at Greenville High School in Greenville, PA for 13 years and have been the Classrooms for the Future coach for 3 years. The CFF coach is responsible for helping teachers integrate technology into their curriculum. I am currently the Integrated Technology teacher and have taught several computer courses including Microsoft Office Certification, Computer Animation, Building Virtual Worlds, Graphic Design, C++ Computer Programming, Digital Photography, 7th grade and 8th grade computers, and 4th, 5th, and 6th grade computers. In addition, I am an approved teacher for the University of Pittsburgh College in High School program. Courses include: Intro to Programming Visual Basic, Intro to Programming JAVA, Intermediate Programming in JAVA, and Web Design. I also teach a full curriculum that contains all aspects of game design from creation through production and marketing.

In my former life, I began as a computer programmer and then progressed into a network administrator position. I managed five different computer systems across a 2000 acre facility that ran 24 hours a day and 7 days per week. Then my wife and I decided to have children and I had to find a living that was not as demanding on my time; hence the switch to education. Funny thing, teaching can be just as demanding at times. But, the good thing is that I am at home and can still interact and spend time with the kids.
