Education

Mrs. McErlane is a 1985 graduate of Grove City High School.  She went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Mathematics from Grove City College in 1989.  In addition, she is a certified Responsive Classroom trainer for the Center for Responsive Schools where she works with educator to help them integrate social and emotional learning within the academic curriculum.  She loves teaching first grade and helping students develop a love for reading, writing and mathematics. 



Experience

Mrs. McErlane has been teaching for 32 years, 31 of which have been at Greenville Elementary School.  She has taught all grades Kindergarten through third grade and is currently a first grade teacher.  She also instructs teachers in the Responsive Classroom practices when she is not in the classroom.



Bio

When she is not in the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family.  She has been married to her husband, Charles, for 31 years.  They have two boys,  Sean is an elementary Spanish teacher in Harbor Creek School District and Trent is a graduate assistant at Point University in Georgia. She has two dogs named Hey Buddy and Snickers who enjoy taking long walks.  In addition to loving her job, she is an avid reader and a huge North Carolina Basketball fan.
